I'll wait til Sammy talks before I post an opinion.

I am terribly bothered by the state of Major League Baseball. Ethics seems to not be a concern to theirs. They have no problem charging fans ludicrously high fees to watch games, don't care if fans watch the games on television or not, and don't give a damn about how records are broken.

My opinion is that anyone caught cheating in a sport, should be banned from competing in the sport, and have their stats wiped clean. I want to watch games where players are honest, give all they have, and don't mind playing by the rules.

How do we know now that Sammy Sosa hit all those homeruns without a corked bat? I'd say it's a safe bet he hasn't.

and who says they haven't used corked bats?

and don't just say they are above that. Because until tonight, as far as anyone was concerned, Sosa was too.

Sosa will still be in the hall of fame, he will still be a loved figure, he will still keep his endorsements. Hell, the guys on baseball tonight reported it as if it was just a funny act.

I too was suprised at how lightly they were treating it.

calm down, its just one guy. and you say things about charging high fees? Have you been to a NBA or NFL game recently, those ARE much, much more expensive.

AND no one knows who has corked bats until they break, maybe McGwire and Bonds were on steroids, maybe not.
