If anyone is to be compared to Mays, it's gonna be Andruw Jones.

lol that's exactly what I was doing. my point was that A. Jones may be the defensive center-fielder in N.L. history.

Go back and read my posts again, I think we are in complete agreement that A. Jones is the best, I am just saying that Patterson has very much "brought something to the table"

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

Correct, Andruw Jones is the best.

Now..justify your statement about Patterson being the starting CF for the All-Star team.

I'd love to see that one.

Just because ol' Dusty is the manager doesn't mean he's an automatic draw for the starting CF.

Keep your head out of the clouds, man and start thinking realistically.

Then you better wait for "Sportsmonger" to post, although I'm sure he is too busy laughing about the way you got us mixed up. Go back and see who posted what, I never said that.

To summarize this whole argument, here I go -

Patterson is not even half the player A. Jones is...let alone a legend named Willie Mays.

                              A. Jones has established himself as a legit starting CF for the NL All-Star team. Patterson has not.

Just because his manager is skippering the team doesn't mean he gets first dibs at the position. To me, that is ridiculous and absurd.

Maybe I was a little off when I said Corey Patterson hasn't brought anything to the table since making the Cubs' roster.

However, I still believe he isn't a premier CF and doesn't need to be spoke about in high regard.

                              There you go.
