I'm originally from Pittsburgh. Graduated from Penn State. Moved to Boston 4 years ago. But I will always bleed Black and Gold! Pirates, Steelers, Penguins all the way!

Nice to see other "Yinzers" on the board!

That is one thing I have always thought is cool about Pittsburgh, is that their teams are all the same colors. It kind of gives the city a feeling of unity. I don't know, it has just always seemed cool to me.

Responding to mustardman: I am brand new to posting here, but I've read many different sites, including this one and have learned alot here. Responses are usually very insightful. Lot of serious gamers here. I like that. Also, being from western PA, it's nice to see a loyal Pirate fan following. Even though baseball practically died here in 1992.

Welcome aboard from a former Western PA-er.

Oh, and don't bother responding to mustardman, he's just a font of negativity, with very little point to most of his messages.

Thanks for the welcome! Speaking of the Pirates: 27-39 is a long way from 500. Hearing Kris Benson may be on the block. Florida and Cincinnati are rumored to be interested. Wouldn't mind seeing Jose Guillen back in the black and gold. Thought Cam Bonifay gave up on him way too soon. Also hearing Boston and St. Louis maybe? J.D. Drew's name keeps coming up. Any thoughts?

I read that the Cards offered Drew for Benson in the offseason and the Bucs said no. I really can't blame them. Drew is always hurt and Benson was supposed to be back. Drew is still hurt but Benson stinks. I'm not sure that there would be much of market for Benson right now. Especially if he keeps pitching the way he has.

Do any of yinz guys read the Pirates Q&A on the postgazette.com? Seems like everyone is calling for McClendon's head down there. For those of yinz that still live there, is this the case?
MLB: Pittsburgh Pirates, Colorado Rockies
NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers
NHL: Pittsburgh Penguins
NBA: Denver Nuggets, Orlando Magic
NCAA: Penn State Nittany Lions, Boston College Eagles

Benson is rumored to be on the block but I still think it would take a lot for the Pirates to acually pull the trigger. The reason Benson has been shelled lately is that he is having some arm injuries and hasn't told anyone. The Pirates are going to throw on the side, to see if this problem can be resolved without having to go on the DL. Thats what i heard
