Here's hoping that the last two games helps give this team a little bit of the cohesiveness that they seem to have lacked so far this year. the Bucs managed to tie it last night with a LOT of help from the Tribe, but how many times did the Pirates do something to give games away this year? So, here's hoping the law of averages is working in our favor now.

Ramirez, Giles, and Kendall are all starting to hit well. Reggie Sanders seems to be getting his stroke back. Matt Stairs is hitting. They say hitting is contigaous.(sp)
Heck, even Nunez got 2 hits! WOW!

Um...no offense, but Jason Kendall is one of the most overrated players the Pirates have. I'll take Manny Sanguillen over Kendall in a heartbeat.

Giles' catch was one of the best I've seen this year! And it looks like the bullpen has stepped it up, though I hope Vogelsong can give them some strong innings, because we don't have much long relief after the past few games (Torres and Tavarez were incredible)

Randall Simon is on the DL...not good. Hopefully Craig Wilson will get more time at first than Young, but Mac loves KY for whatever reason, so I wouldn't expect much production from 1B for a while....

I would definitely rate Giles' catch as one of the top 10 that I've ever seen.

I'm interested in seeing how this Rivera kid does. I read an article that said this may be the end for KY. If Rivera plays really well, it might be Young who gets released when Simon comes back.

I saw a brief highlite on SportsCenter that the Yanks and Bucs were talking trades involving Weaver and Giles. Anyone have any news. I also saw something on ESPN.com (Insider which I don't have access to) talking about it. Any news would be appreciated....

Supposedly, this Weaver-Giles trade talk is starting to heat up, and its ANNOYING me!!

This is a crap deal. We would we even want Weaver? He's scheduled to make $9 + million in either 04 or 05. Giles is one of the best outfielders in the game. Period!
