And...that's why he's the Captain. I was expecting him to hit a home run after that wild pitch, he knows the pitcher wants to throw a strike and he's waiting for it. The guy is just great, and I'm a Met fan first and foremost.

You've got to know A-Rod is going to strike out after a big Jeter moment. It ALWAYS happens, he's been comparing himself to Jeter since he came into the league, and even with all his stats he always comes up a little short. Stat-Rod vs. Captain Clutch = No Contest.

Give me those gritty intangible guys every time, 9 Jeters beat 9 Stat Rods.

Great game last night! Is that Carlos Gomez fast or what? Watching that dude on the Mets he was 30 feet ahead of the dirt coming up from his cleats.

Yeah, I drove the 2 1/2 hours from Duluth to be there. Amazing experience. Ticket was only $11. And I had money on the Twins to win and the over....net profit on the trip.

Well, for how much the media likes to hype up the Twins' defense, O-Cab has made a couple terrible throws tonight. That should have been a gun-down. Come on Brian, get out of this.

Joe Girardi gets the crystal ball award for sending runners at exactly the right time so far. 2 for 2

Off the schnide, A-Rod. I'm not sure why they didn't walk him. Oh yeah, that's right, Gardy is a terrible tactical manager.

Must have not been a big situation, since A-Rod just got a hit.

I walk him, Gardy, and give Duensing a chance against the lefty. Now here comes the head-case Liriano. Uh oh.
