I would have pitched to A-Rod. Matsui is more clutch and isn't scared of lefties.

Good for A-Rod on getting off the schneid, but you saw those stats on A-Rod in the post-season, the proper play is to pitch to A-Rod. Dude was bound to get a hit sooner or later. That big hit should relax A-Rod, once he gets going bad he really starts to press, he needed that hit and he needed it BAD.

I'm sorry, but Duensing doesn't give that up. F-in Liriano is garbage!

It's been happening all year. Great at managing players, terrible at managing games.

And he'll still win, or be a very close second in the manager of the year award. Because the media loves that he has success with this "scrappy" team.

That was a giant hack for 3-2, 2 out, 2 on, and the AL MVP on deck. That huge homer the other night might have gotten to Cabrera's head.

I was hoping that after a half hour in the shower a little more game time would have passed.

Everyone is blowing that one inning by Joba out of proportion. It's not like he didn't have 7 pitch innings when he was a starter. He was facing the bottom of the Rays order also.

Wait a minute, are you suggesting that it wasn't the greatest single inning pitched in the history of the game?

and how Derek Jeter may break Pete Rose's all time hits record because Jeter is so great he'll will himself to it just like how people say he's aging and now he's made a comeback? (per Ron Darling)

BTW I just LOOVE the selective memory of Chip Carey early in the game saying how Texeira never skipped a beat. I guess Carey forget about the first 2 months of the season when Tex struggled mightily and he only started to round back into form because of A-Rod protecting him in the lineup.
