They certainly are a pretty awful combo.

Good game tonight, but man these broadcasts on TBS are unbearable.

Amen. My favorite moment was when they had a graphic up showing Joe Mauer having an OBP about 30 points higher than anyone else in the AL, yet they gushed over Jeter and then mentioned the faint MVP chant that some Yankees fans had started. LOL.

If the Twins win a game I'll be surprised.

Glad we got the choking years out of CC in Cleveland.

He wasn't crazily overworked this year coming into the playoffs like he was in Cleveland and especially Milwaukee.

This is what happens when you have announcers that don't watch the teams.

One of the guys said that the Yankees kept Phil Hughes in the bullpen because they realized they shouldn't send him down after his big 8 inning start against the Rangers.

That's not how it went. The Yankees asked Hughes if he would prefer to start in the minors or throw in the bullpen. Hughes said: "I want to help the major league club any way I can."

And that's how he became the 8th inning guy.

Sandman made a great point but also I thought CC looked a lot more calm on the mound. The guy is not the most comfortable looking pitcher when he goes out there but last night he looked very comfortable in his own skin and just pitched his game.

So I have to give him credit for that.

It was never about how much work but rather how much emotion he put into his pitching. Every game he pitched in the playoffs, if he struck someone out or got a big out, he'd be jumping up and down and screaming...he looked much more relaxed in NYC...which is stunning to me.

I hope A.J. has his A game tonight. The media has definitely pumped up the drama about no Posada behind the dish tonight. Hopefully the Yanks do not need any offense from Molina because it is pretty much not there.

Nice baserunning Gomez. Excellent play by Swisher throwing it into 2nd instead of going home.

I have no idea what Gomez was thinking there when he got caught overrunning second base. Also, Kubel has looked overwhelmed at the plate so far in this series.

Harris finally got the Twins on the board with an RBI triple.
