33,he's an exception ,yes it is.

Here is a stat that PROVES his range is better.

Jim Edmonds has a better Zone rating than Andruw Jones.

Jim's is at 913 and Jones is at 825,worst among starting CF's.

ZR is The percentage of balls fielded by a player in his typical defensive "zone. Range factor is another stat that shows who has better range and Edmonds' is better than Jones'.

I know i'm using alot of stats but it's the best way to prove my point.

Agreed. And thanks for the stats.

Edmonds has enough service time that he no doubt has a superior ability to judge a situation and get that two or three step head-start to a fly ball that a terminal sophomore like Andruw Jones cannot get to. This, to me, explains the statistic.

How do the other CFs in baseball rate according to these statisitics?

I know Andruw has a slight lead on Corey Patterson in the TE statistic... (television exposure)

A. Jones... I live in Toronto and I never noticed that many people knew players on the Jays. A lot of people know about Wells, Delgado and Hallday this year, partly because they're having pretty good years. Griffey used to be the best, hands down. That was the past.

Edmonds is the best defensive CF in the game.

BUT.. he made an huge error tonight! I couldn't believe it...

Edmonds does not have the speed that Andru Jones has.. but still gets to the same balls he does bc he can read it better off the bat or knows where the hitter is most likely to hit it. one of the smarters defensive players in the game.. his arm and his how accurate he is has always amazed me most though.

and when he is hot.. he is hot.. no one gets on fire like jimmy.
