Exactly what I was saying...you can't compare the two contracts because A-Rod has 5 more years under his belt and has gone through Free Agency...Pujols is still playing under the contract he signed as a rookie.

My guess is because Pujols might be rapidly making a run at staking claim to that title.

Don't feel like reading a good portion of this thread, so this MAY have been brought up, but Alex has been playing this season with a herniated disc... I just think it's been downplayed a ton.

He will K 125+

He is on pace for 12 SBs

He isn't in the top 40 OBP in the MLB

He isn't in the top 15 in HRs

His OPS is 20 points lower than Steve Finley
and 30 lower than R. Hidalgo

In 01 & 02 he was a lot better but still not in the top 6 in either season.

His OPS is 20 points lower than Steve Finley
