I doubt the player to be named is Juan Cruz. If he was, they would have named him yesterday.

It will be a mid level prospect most likely. It could possibly be either David Kelton or Felix Pie, but most likely will be someone considered less of a prospect.

Straight from Cubs GM Jim Henry's mouth....

He said the Pirates will have a set amount of time to go through Cubs prospects. Then, they will choose one they want. If the Cubs agree, he's theirs, if not, they work something out.

The way Hendry made it sound, the Cubs give them a list of guys to choose from, and he also made it sound like it's not going to be any of our top prospects.

I heard all of this last night as the trade was announced during the Cubs game.

Even if this wasn't a deal made with a major checkbook team, this is a symbol of what's wrong with baseball...

I'm beginning to care less and less if they even HAVE a freakin' team here. I mean, hell, if you want crappy players, you might as well have a contest before everygame to let the fans outside give it a shot... jeezus!

I heard all these rumors of good prospects coming this way, then BAM! they unload that $2 piece of crap Jose on us... what the hell was the thought-process in THIS?!!

Have they even WATCHED this guy play?! If we wanted to increase our strikeout total, we'd have kept Kevin Young!
