Cal Ripken wanted to become part of the team in some capacity and help the young players develop...him and MacPhail mutually agreed but Peter Angelos said no to the idea because he didn't want Cal to "get the credit when they returned to prominence".

              The Nats are 5-5. Wow.

Even more amazing considering we've played 6 games against Philadelphia.

Just let Wellemeyer pitch. He lead the league opponent OBP, let him get a head start this year. Don't use up the bullpen in the first game of the series.

It isn't often you score 10 runs on a night where you've gotten incredibly unlucky.

                      Royals bullpen ftw.

                        Royals bullpen ftw.
Tonight's game re-inforced my hatred for Scott Podsednik. He's always annoyed me for no real reason. I'm loving Span's ability to get on-base without hitting that well so far.

I just read that. How brutal. As hard as it is to be an Astro fan sometimes, at least McLane reveres the team legends (Bagwell, Biggo, Ryan, Cruz etc).

I can't imagine ANY baseball owner giving Ripken the snub, much less in Baltimore.

Angelos ought to be run out of town on a rail.

I really have to feel for the people of Baltimore...a historically loyal fanbase for both baseball and football, and y'all have gotten stuck with two of the worst owners in the history of professional sports.
