Whats messed up is, i am 33 years old and ever since i was 5-6 years ol, the Dodgers have always prided themselves on having a great pitching staff. Not anymore.
While I would love that, the other owners would not allow for Cuban to be an owner. He is to much of a "cavalier" for them and he scares them.

It's part of Throwback Thursdays, where every home Thursday game in played at 3:35 in the afternoon and the Padres don the 1978 throwbacks (voted by the fans).

Last night was Military opening night I believe so they always wear the camoflage jerseys for those.

As for other "hideous" uniforms, the Astros Rainbow Gut/Tequila Sunrise jerseys get a lot of grief by some but if you actually watched a game from that era the uniform actually has a style and is well put together unlike some of the mish mash crap we see today.

Welcome to the world of the Blue Jays the last few years.

As for the Jays game, I didn't watch it as I fell asleep. Needless to say Dana Eveland broke a franchise record with 11 1/3rd innings of no runs to start a career in a Jays uniform. Nice to see that Travis Snider got a HR tonight. He's struggling a ton with the bat but he's doing a lot of things besides hitting that's keeping him in the lineup.

The attendance....to say it's worrying is a bit of an understatement. Barely over 10k in the building last night. i shudder to think what attendance will look like for the handful of weekday day games. I know fans in Toronto have been jerked around by bad management and lies but at least fans should go out to support what is going to be a long but fun development of the team for the next few years. It's not like Toronto doesn't have baseball fans, we do, it's just that so many have been turned off by the game and specifically the team itself. Hopefully attendance goes up soon. It's getting so bad that Ozzie Guillen is lamenting the attendance:

"Terrible," Guillen said. "I felt like I was in Montreal."
That's the feeling i'm getting too

On a more positive note. AA strikes again with another pretty good move by acquiring Fred Lewis from the Giants. He's going to add more depth to the bench and provide a good left hand bat for pinch hitting situations.

I love both those old Padre's unis and the Astros... Always loved the White Sox unis too.

LaPorta just whiffed on a Buerhle change and lost the bat in the stands. It hit a fan in the face. Not good.
