I agree with a lot of what you said, but one thing struck me as laughable :

Where do you get the notion that Jesse Orosco gets paid "millions" of dollars? I would be really surprised if he made any more than the big league minimum at this point in his career.

His signing should really not be an issue for anyone. Sure, its just one more thing to laugh at the Yankees about, and that in itself is always nice, but come on. The guy gets paid peanuts and he is still really tough on lefties. The Yankees can run him out there to pitch to one batter and he will usually get them out.

I do have a real problem with the increasing trend of "relief specialists" coming on just to face one guy because it is a lefty on lefty matchup.

What in the hell ever happened to letting a pitcher pitch? Jesus, doesn't the guy get paid to get people out? You know, not every single lefty in baseball crushes right handed pitching, and vice versa.

The game is starting to be reduced to these mundane little things. The micro managing is starting to get out of hand, in my opinion.

Was just about to question that too. People take this Yankee hatred thing a little to far. Sure, you could get Mad when they sign a Giambi. But Jesse Orosco?? If the Yankees got a new bat boy people would be saying "Oh my god, the Yankees are buying up all the talent. No other team can afford a bat boy that's paid that kind of money. This is ruinging baseball"

Yankees lead 1-0, but they should have had more as they got the bases loaded with no one out.
