My friends dad knew Jim as a kid and Jim was an Indians fan in his youth days so that could of influenced the call. Should go into the history books as a perfect game.

I give Cabrera credit. I probably would've punched him in the mouth.

I honestly have never been angrier. Just...unfathomable.

              Exactly!

Being a Michigander and a life long Tigers fan I just have to say that with a perfect game on the line, Jacksons amazing catch and history in the making.... You call the runner out on a close play. That is just an unwritten thing and its a freaking shame.

I'm not saying he was safe, but the replay they kept showing on ESPN is a bit misleading. That one makes it look like there was no doubt the guy was out by a full step. The one from the 3rd base side shows that Gallaraga DID bobble it a little bit, which is the only way I can see the ump justifying a safe call there.

Like I said, I think he was out. This isn't some rookie ump though, so you have to at least see things from his point of view because I really doubt he calls a guy safe just to ruin a perfect game.

What are the odds one of the Tigers pitchers gets a little wild up in the zone when Joyce is behind the plate?

Just awful... I felt sick to my stomach like most of you after seeing that crap. I don't know why people try to reason with it, he just blew the call period. Jim Joyce not only robbed this pitcher of thee most rarest personal feat in baseball, but also robbed every single person who was watching this unfold, of witnessing one of the rarest, if not the rarest, piece of sports history being made.

I give Armando Galarraga so much credit for being a total class act through it all thus far.

I wasn't before today, but I am now a big Armando Galarraga fan now.

Definitely not okay with that Wikipedia entry. But I seem to e one of the few people on the internet that sees using the term "Jew" as a negative in that context as being not okay and pretty antisemitic. At least they cleaned up that page pretty quick.

Makes me sick. Miggy looked like he wanted to knock Joyce the hell out after the play too. He probably should have.

                                Selig should overturn it.
