    August 2nd - August 8th MLB Discussion

Starting tomorrow it's time for the White Sox to put the Tigers out of thier misery and turn this into a 2 team horse race down the stretch for the A.L. Central crown.

Hopefully the Twins will actually lose a couple games this week...

Back at home this week... 3 against the Blue Jays and a 4-game set with the Red Sux.

3 games against Houston at home and we get to see what we gave up for Holliday. Hopefully Wallace doesn't go on a tear. While it sounds silly, I think the Cardinals could really lose this series. Not knowing how Westbrook will do in game one. Then we face Bud Norris who always beats us. But we have Carpenter going in game three. Factor in that the Astros have been playing good ball lately and it's kinda scary.

Then 3 at Florida. Waino in the first game. Then Westbrook against Johnson. Might move Carpenter up to face JJ. Then Whoever doesn't pitch that game will go in game three. Should take at least 2 with a slim chance of taking all three.

The Reds get the Pirates then the Cubs. Come on! For the first time in a long time, I'll be rooting for the Cubs.

Philly w/ 3 at FLA and then 3 at home vs the Mets. Looks like Ryan Howard could avoid the D/L too....dammit we need Utley back and quick!

I feel like anything less than 3 of 4 from Boston is a failure

MLBN just said he is going to make his next scheduled start, but they failed to say exactly when that would be.

The irony is, after the Tigers fall out of the race it'll be time to bring up the young kids from the minors.... OOPS they're all already in the bigs!

Could this be the first time a team does the exact opposite and sends there youngsters DOWN for better seasoning?

Hellickson is looking really impressive against the Twins. His fastball looks a lot faster than it really is.

Hellickson does look good, keep it up and beat those Twins.

OMG, Carlos Santana, look away... I hope he's OK, looks REALLY bad.

Ugh, that just made me think of the Oakland Raiders RB (Name escapes me) that got his knee bent up the wrong direction. Terrible.
