Ugh, that just made me think of the Oakland Raiders RB (Name escapes me) that got his knee bent up the wrong direction. Terrible.
      His career may be over...

That was disgusting. He's ankle bent up and touched his knee. Not to mention twisted completely around.

One of the most horrific injuries I have ever seen. Just disgusting.

Oh I hope he is okay...such a good young player. I hate injuries. The RB you are thinking of was Napolean Kaufman, wasn't it?

That's the first name that came to my mind, but I wasn't sure...

If his career isn't over, I would bet his career as a Catcher could be over, depending on how severe this turns out to be.

That wasn't pretty, but the knee of a 25 year old can take quite a bit. This is certainly a significant road block for his career but I don't think anybody should be writing him off. We'll have to wait and see what the diagnosis is. At worst we're probably talking an ACL/MCL thing and a player can certainly come back from that surgery.

Have they announced the extent at all? I feel for Cleveland fans...can't catch a break at all. A guy that I fly with is a big Indians fan...he was stoked about Santana.

I'm sure they won't release anything about it in next 24 hours. IIRC they'll need to wait for the swelling to go down before they take an MRI.

Just saw the play...it wasn't even a dirty hit at the plate, just one of those things.

Where'd you see it? ESPN and MLBN haven't showed anything.

Watching the Mets feed of the Braves/Mets...they cut to it on a gamebreak.

Didn't realize it was on ESPN. Since I have EI, I hardly ever watch ESPN broadcasts...
