Koyie Hill just collected the first Cubs hit of the day... in the 6th inning.

I really hate being a Cubs fan.

Wow, Morrow with 17 K's. In a season full of no-no's this was the top pitching performance of the year.

No wonder the Royals have such a high team BA. Going this deep into the count each at bat it's bound to be high.

That was such a crappy way to lose a no-no. Just a harmless groundball to second. If the Blue Jays are playing in a normal defensive alignment on the infield Hill probably gets to it. It was a one-run game though, so I imagine he was staying relatively close to the bag to cover in case Zobrist took off. Though the infielders must have known Morrow was going fastball away on that pitch, so I'm surprised he didn't shift over a couple steps. Hind sight is certainly beneficial, lady luck apparently wasn't 100% with Morrow today.

Scratched due to back tightness when he was warming up is what they reported...

I knew Vlad was going to hit into a double play..He's been horrible since the all star break.

He looks like an old man swinging the bat

Why is no one talking about the year that Carlos Gonzalez having? The guy is on fire and putting up amazing numbers. I am not hearing anyone say boo about the guy.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Nothing feels better in baseball than owning Josh Beckett.

So i'm out of the country where the Blue Jays aren't on anyone's radar and JP Arencibia gets called up and has a monster game and i'm on the bus trip(s) from hell while Brandon Morrow throws a near No-Hitter....

...Sometimes I wonder if God is being mean to me.
