Thank you for Ben Davis by the way. He will be an allstar once Dan Wilson leaves town, or starts getting less playing time. He has a great arm, and has a good feel for hitting. Good player.

This Deal is Done. I am from SD and to me I have been waiting for this trade to go down. I am Happy that they are getting rid of Perez although sometimes he can be on and sometimes he sucks. He reminds me of Ruben Rivera shows flashes of talent and then bam in some kind of trance where they can't do anything right.

I am hoping Nady will be the one to go cause I think J-Bay is better then Nady.

Nady was once a can't miss prospect and now is a missed prospect.

To get rid of Perez opens the door for what towers wants to do for the new team at the new ballpark is putting a winner together now rather then later and by getting rid of Perez is giving the pads more money to go out in the off-season to get a Free agent pitcher or another bat.

I like this trade for the Bucs. Both of these guys look promising, especially Perez. The guy will probably become a stud and strike out guys left to right.
" I look at him and it's getting to the point where it's just scaring me. He looks younger but he doesn't carry himself in a younger manner. He's impressive, and I'm glad we drafted him. "

Yeah, you guys really got a steal. Vazquez is starting to show that he belongs on the bench, Lampkin is almost out of baseball, and Tomko is with the Cards. If the trade never happened, we wouldn't have a problem with the catching position.

Didn't the Mariners get Rafael Soriano in that trade, too? I'm pretty sure there was a pitcher involved, though I've got serious reservations about Ben Davis being an all-star.

I, too, like this trade for the Pirates. Oliver Perez is a good young pitcher, but if I were them I'd take Jason Bay over Nady-- he's just a better all around player. In fact, he's a little bit similar to Giles in my mind. Nady is a DH waiting to happen.

Stop saying Ollie is a good young pitcher. Oh, wait he might be a young good pitcher but he's a headcase just like Ruben Rivera. They are both similar. Ollie will never live up to his potential he will only show flashes.
