    Jose Reyes

2nd homer of the game tonight against Atlanta... his 5th of the year, and those are the only two runs in the game so far.

He has been my ROTY vote, even though he came to the majors late. I don't think Dontrelle Willis is it in my mind, no matter how great he's been doing lately. Hide the ball, kcik your leg high, you'll be successful. Not saying he's bad or overrated, I just think Reyes is a little underrated. He's a nice young switch hitter, and has been on my fantasy baseball team since mid-July.

How do you guys think he's doing so far? He's very young, and like Furcal and Rollins, he's still growing, and when all's said and done he'll probably be in the 3 hole hitting 30+ homers.

What do you figure his future's like?

He's so YOUNG it's hard to tell. He did struggle in AAA before being called up, so he could have a considerable cold streak ahead of him. But I see him as a switch-hitting Barry Larkin. I doubt he'll hit 30 homers though, especially playing half his games at Shea.

I see what you mean, but I see him as a Giant in 4-5 years... when the Giants lose Aurilia, and drop that Cody Ransom. Although that's not at all friendlier for lefties, I see him learning the gaps and using those wheels hititng them to the 421 ft power alley at Pac Bell.

Reyes...A Giant??? Nah, man...He's gonna be one of the Mets cornerstones for years to come. Reyes is the absolute truth and he is just 20. One of the best young players in all of baseball. Glad he is on my favorite team. Now if the organization can sorrond him, Piazza, Floyd, Glavine and Leiter with the right mix of free agents (Vlad Guerrero to start ) They can get into the hunt

Just a question because you seem to love your Mets... did Mo Vaughn end up making that injury back in Pittsburgh a career ending injury, or will he decide to come back and play?

IF he comes back to play, you think the Mets will drop him because of the success Jason Phillips has also brought to the club?

There is no official word on Mo, but the general concensus is that he is done. If he is, we can free up his money. And Philips/Piazza will take over at first and catcher which definatly strengthens the lineup. Phillips is pretty good out there. If he does come back...well...I don't want to even think about that
