    Re: Jose Reyes

As for ROY... Dontrelle had everyone captivated but I think the hitters figured him out a little and he's been pretty mediocre for a while. We'll see if he makes the necesary adjustments. A strong September and he's my NL ROY. But Reyes is gaining on him fast. He just keeps getting better and better. We'll see.

The perfect matchup will be the Willis/Reyes matchup... I mean they ARE in the same division... what are the stats so far?

I think batting from the right side is Reyes' weaker side, so I'd give Dontrelle the edge. I don't think they've faced each other yet, though. I've got Reyes on my keeper team and I haven't encountered the match-up. Although I did have him benched today against the lefty Hampton

That's true... Reyes is .233 from the right side, and .341 from the left side. Don't know his clutch or strikeout performance from whatever side, but I think that you're right when facing Willis... I forgot his swing is a little choppier from the right side.

Maybe he'll turn into a J.T. Snow kind of guy... learn how to not get frozen with lefty breaking pitches from the left side, and stay on one side of the plate (I forgot Snow used to bat from the right side... ahh, that seems weird now to see him from that side!).

I'm biased, but I'd take Marlon Byrd over Reyes for ROTY. He has twice as many doubles, more HRs, and a better OBP. I'd take Willis over both of them though.

I was going to compare Reyes and Byrd, which is hard since Byrd has 100 more at-bate-- but what's funny is they're both listed at 6 feet tall, but Byrd weighs 230 pounds while Reyes weighs 160... that's 70 friggin' pounds!
