I could never get sick of He's Gawn!

Every announcer has his catch phrase..You can put it on the Board is no different from Chip Careys horrific...SWUNG ON AND BELTED..

I like Stoney..but Chip Carey is the worst commentator I have ever heard..I hear Santo is worse, but I don't listen to Cub radio..

Another announcer that's great is Ted Robinson. He used to do games with Krukow in San Fran, and he was always really good.

I think he's announcing for the Mets now.

No offense dude but... are you kidding? I mean I like him at color commentator, because he just REALLY cannot bring emotion to the game of baseball.

However, I agree with you on the fact that you agree with me about Kruk and Kuip. I mean the guys that haven't heard them just HAVE to hear them. The best chemistry ever! They are also the announcers on MVP, but Duane Kuiper surprisingly didn't add his homerun call to the game. They are simply the best, and are also very funny... don't know if they are the funniest though.

To those who are able to see Giants games, listen to them tonight!

I may be the only one, but I get EXTREMELY bored when I listen to Vin Scully call a game. Sure he's knowledgeable, but God knows the last time I sat and watched a Dodger game on TV or on the radio. The man puts me to sleep.

            No disrespect of course

Pirates Announcers (ranked in order of preference):

                        1. Lanny Frattare -- doesn't have any gimmicks, just calls the game like it should be, and he isn't afraid to criticize the team when they deserve it. Easily the best announcer I hear on a regular basis.

                        2. Steve Blass -- typical "Former Good Major Leaguer" in that he spends a lot of time telling stories about his playing days and also has mostly interesting things to say about the game on the field.

                        3. Bob Walk -- another former Pirate doing color. The man knows a TON about the baseball, but has the tendency to get boring or overly stupid (primarily when he's working with #4). I truly feel this man's future is as a manager, not a broadcaster.

                        4. Greg Brown -- UGH!! The most annoying broadcaster in all of Pittsburgh. He laughs at everything even when it's not funny, drags things out all inning that were only remotely interesting in the first place, and rarely has anything to contribute other than basic play-by-play. The guy started an "All Bird-Name Player" list one game, for crying out loud! He's twice as bad when he works with Walk.

The Mariners' color guys more or less suck. But Dave Niehaus is one of the best in the bidness, and yes he is biased...and i don't care. People that listen to mariners broadcasts are Mariners fans. Rick Rizzs is also play-by-play by guy. I HATE the droning announcer, who did the All-Star game on the radio. I think he's a yankees guy...not sure. God , he sucks.
