Why would he even come back if hr knew he faced a 100 game suspension. Seems foolish to further tarnish what was left of his reputation.

Different language on the video... but man I'm going to miss this guy a lot... so much for the whole Manny Returns angle NESN was going to probably spin this next week.

Definitely a character of the game, and one of the best hitters to ever lace up the cleats. He will be missed.

What a coward, he quits because he was going to get suspended 100 games for juicing, AGAIN. No HOF for you Manny.

I always thought Ortiz would be done before Manny.

Only if Ortiz was taking the same women's fertility drug.

Edit: That's what it was last time right?

                    I believe so.

What a way to go out though, getting busted on another drug test.

                    For shame Manny, for shame.

The two seemed to pick up right where they left off in Boston, where they were teammates from 2002-05 and were self-proclaimed "idiots" during the 2004 World Series run. "I've [played] […]

good stuff, one less juice-head out of the game. He also kissed any possibility of the HOF goodbye with this positive test. See ya!

Manny Ramirez: Future HOFer who will never get in. Steroids don't make you a good hitter. It's a shame.

I would like to say i'm surprised, but i can't.

Yet another plaque we probably will never see in Cooperstown. Good riddance Manny, if you are that arrogant and stupid to think that you could get away with cheating again then you deserve to go out in this embarrassing mannor.

Hmm, that's surprising, the Rays must be trying to keep his service time down.
