Where will Vlad go?

Personally, I hope he comes to Baltimore, and that is very possible, because we already announced he is our #1 target, plus he has a good relationship with Beattie and we have lots of money to spend, with Belle and Erickson's contracts both up (finally).

I see him trying to stay with Montreal any way possible. If that fails it could be a craps shoot. Just my 2 cents.

Man, how I'd love to see Vlad the Impaler in an O's uniform. But just out of curiosity, when did Vlad give an impression that Baltimore was his #1 choice? Is there a news article where he made that quote? Link?

No chance to go to the Giants. They will not have enough money. Althugh they lose Snow, Benard, etc., everyone else's contract goes up. Bonds earns more, Alfonzo and Durham deffered money for the 2003 season and get more. Rueter and Schmidt also get more. And don't expect the Giants to pick up the option on Cruz Jr. for 4 million (he's making 1 million now). I expect them to decline the option and sign him to a more resonable contract.

I never said that we are his #1 choice, I said that we have announced he is our #1 target to acquire. I have heard from several sources that he does like Beattie, though. BTW, do you actually live in Baltimore city or outside of it? I'm from Ellicott City myself. We have season tickets to the O's.
