    Re: Cubs vs. Marlins

What I fear is it will not help but just push Baseball back even further...

Two teams with new stadium's same results...Pittsburgh and Cincy... They both have beautiful new stadiums, yet the people stay home...

    As you said..... It's sad...

      Re: Cubs vs. Marlins

You guys say it's about Wrigley and everything.... but I have seen the cubs draw season record attendance to teams Stadiums that were averaging about 10-15 k...

I have watched games on TV where there were more SOSA fans than Marlin fans in your stadium...

      Thats sad my friend...

People can dog the Cubs all they want but the Cubs are a GOLDMINE........Win lose or draw...

      The Cubs are Baseball....

.....until the Cubs win the World Series then they become just another team. The allure of the Cubs is that they are the "lovable losers". They've also got the greatest park in the world that even NON-baseball fans flock to go to at least once in their lives.

The situation in Florida is a bit different tho I think the fans are a bit on the bandwagon as they had some decent crowds down the stretch but for most of the year not a soul came to see that team.

.....until the Cubs win the World Series then they become just another team.

You can bet your *** if we win the WS we will draw record crowds in every stadium next year...

We are the Cubs shuffling crew...Hitting the homer just for you...

Do you have any numbers to back up this record away crowd theory? Because I seriously doubt it.
