I for one, would be very interested in your comments. I hope I never see them of course , but I don't see how a Cub fan can complain about Hendry, Baker, or even the team as a whole for what they have accomplished this year.

This team had 60-something wins last year. We are one win away from the World Series!! I mean, let's face it ... normally this time of year we are either rooting for teams that we wouldn't ordinarily root for, or we have abandoned baseball altogether. This is great stuff!!

I'll be just as upset as the next Cub fan if we blow this opportunity. But when the dust settles, I'll look back on this year, and all I'll be able to say is "Great Job, Cubs!!"

Hopefully I'll be able to attach "World Champions" in there somewhere, but there is much baseball to play yet.

Wow I leave here and we start talking about the size of Prior and Wood's balls and the balls/heart of the Marlins.

Cubs might be the better team in terms of veteran guys and all that but the Marlins have YOUNGER starting pitching that are lights out. The Marlins also came out of a far more competitive division then the Cubs, not to mention they have more wins then the Cubs did all year.

I still think the Cubs will win but all this hoopla is just a bit much. You guys ever heard of quiet confidence? You people are starting to get a mite bit annoying. (tho some Cubs fans here are quite good posters so...) Save the celebration til they clinch.

Remember, 1984 was the exact same situation. (tho they were on the road then hmm)

Oh no ... please don't bring up 1984. I still have nightmares. I was a teenager then, and I created a real cool countdown sign in my yard cuz I was so excited.

Some idiot from my neighborhood called my house right after the Padres clinched, claiming to be the manager of the Padres at that time (I don't remember his name), and asked me what I thought of my Cubs now!
