hrm Gcrusher so I guess Jack Morris wasn't a major leaguer all those years then. UH HUH.

WHIP doesn't mean much what matters to me is the scoreboard and he only allowed 2 runs.

SportsmanTO, this is the playoffs, it's time to put up or shut up. It's inexcusable no matter how many runs you give up, if you blow the lead you're accountable. I never expect people like Sosa and Alou to actually produce, but I do expect the Cubs pitchers to keep us in the game. Giving up 9 base runners in five innings is ridiculous.

EDIT: Oh and NYJets37, I didn't know that Mark Prior has been pitching for 100 years.

You can't say a team won't win because they haven't won in 100 years; this team has never lost, and it doesn't look like they will this year.

So I guess Cub fans should hold their head down, we have a 3-2 league going to an energized Wrigley Field... Prior up on the mound next for the Cubs.

The Cubs ran into a pitcher who pitched a hell of a ball game. No way am I going to go run and hide in a corner and expect that the Cubs will blow it.. I don't see it, not with this group of players!

            Go Cubs!

I think that if there is one team in the MLB that can pull this off its The Marlins.
