I say this with cautious optimism, because I remember being in this very position once before (3 chances to win 1 game to get to the World Series ... in 1984). Of course, this time around, two of those chances will be at the Friendly Confines.
I like the Cubs chances. Nice win tonight. Man, where'd the offense in this series come from?
Anyway ... Go Cubs.
Hey, and look, I didn't put my foot in my mouth tonight ...

Took the words right out of my mouth specially with 1984. I think the offense has come partly due to the fact that the Marlins are mostly inexperienced in these kind of big game situations. However, I also think that the Cubs are the more hungry team in that they've got players that been there before but never got the ring. Hell Kenny Lofton is almost at the stage of his career where he should be looking towards retirement. The key has been the Cubs pitching. It's almost automatic with Wood and Prior but if Clement can pitch well enough then there's no chance for the opposition.
Should be interesting if the Cubbies make it to the Dance.
