This play and the play on the first base line in Prior's first start where the fan went for the ball exemplified Fox's description of the Cub fans at Wrigley as "Cub fans since Sunday". I am sure a lot of the people who got the tickets aren't the people who were showing up for games in April and May. Any true fan, in their right mind of course, would do anything he could to get out of the way of that ball.

Read my first sentence (devil's advocate???). Sure it had an impact, and sure there'd be people making him the scape goat. Is he the only reason the Cubs lost though? No.
