    Re: The Fan!!!!!!

Wow, the thing is if you’re a fan of a team and your 5 outs from a WS, you as fans take charge you see a player attempting to catch the ball yell get back. Hell if my buccos were 5 outs away from WS I would tackle people back we all want the same thing. That guy from many views reached over the railing.

Now interesting side note, as a law major If this guy suddenly died tonight, and they caught a person or they caught someone who they think killed him. It went to trial, now after everyone knowing who this guy is, the chances are people would aquit, I know its cold but, in every state there are cub fans course the guys family, if they would actually show their face, would ask for another state it wouldn’t matter. This guys life right now is in danger if the cubs lose this series he will most likely die. Its cold I know, but if I were that guy I would be leaving the country, on a plane as of now.

Now for all you that think this didn’t cost the cubs the game, Alou makes that catch its 2 outs man at first, most likely prior finishes the 8th and even if they tied it that sack fly would have been with 2 outs so game would be tied.

The curse lives on, and also that fan could sue under a tort, for emotional distress he could make money of this if he lives.

The curse lives on my friends, the curse lives on, glad im not a cubs fan

You have compltely misread my posts. And hand me my *** infront of everyone??? Please, it is a freakin' message board.

I agree that I would be pissed, I never said your anger is blind. All I said was that there was more than one reason the Cubs lost tonight. Is the effect that play had on the Cubs part of it? Absolutely. Do you know what playing the devil's advocate means. I don't ACTUALLY doubt that ALou would have caught the ball, I was just throwing it out. I'm here to discuss, not argue like you are attempting to do with me. I think you were unable to see that I was actually agreeing that the kid had an impact on the game.

How much baseball have you watched in your life.....If alot, you would know things like these have a domino effect in the game of baseball.... and you know this to be true if you have any grasp of the carma of the game...

why are we forgetting the HUGE error by Gonzo??? That kept the inning going just as much as the POSSIBLE catch by Alou. And the bullpen absolutely IMPLODING at the worst possible time.

But the fan is an idiot. sure during the regular season, you'll be hard pressed to find anyone NOT going for the ball in that situation. But this is the postseason, and fans (REAL baseball fans) know better, especially if what you do will go against your own team! This guy gets no leeway what-so-ever. But I'm in the boat with the folks that believe that this one play did NOT lose it for the Cubbies.

Yeah but my god, the momentum was squarely with Chicago. I mean that play changed so much more than just one out. Watching on TV you could see the fans just deflate in the stadium. That was a momentum changing play any way you look at it. It lead to the collapse IMO, but it was not the only problem. The Cubs did lose the game, but momentum, which is sometimes underrated, was lost, possibly even for game 7. Now that the game is over and I have cooled off a bit, it was a total collapse, but still the fan should have let him catch it.
