why are we forgetting the HUGE error by Gonzo??? That kept the inning going just as much as the POSSIBLE catch by Alou. And the bullpen absolutely IMPLODING at the worst possible time.

But the fan is an idiot. sure during the regular season, you'll be hard pressed to find anyone NOT going for the ball in that situation. But this is the postseason, and fans (REAL baseball fans) know better, especially if what you do will go against your own team! This guy gets no leeway what-so-ever. But I'm in the boat with the folks that believe that this one play did NOT lose it for the Cubbies.

Yeah but my god, the momentum was squarely with Chicago. I mean that play changed so much more than just one out. Watching on TV you could see the fans just deflate in the stadium. That was a momentum changing play any way you look at it. It lead to the collapse IMO, but it was not the only problem. The Cubs did lose the game, but momentum, which is sometimes underrated, was lost, possibly even for game 7. Now that the game is over and I have cooled off a bit, it was a total collapse, but still the fan should have let him catch it.

I disagree. I think the momentum was lost on the error by Gonzo. The fans were still loud and rocking after that foul ball (I think they were chanting "a$$hole" at the fan, but I'm not sure), but that error really quieted the crowd down.

            Re: The Fan!!!!!!

Its possible to get non cub fans but when they are questioning people for a jury they wont say, are you a cubs fan, well for this one you might, you could keep quiet, all they way till your on the jury then jus say I acquit

As for suing he could sue the cubs and also the city of Chicago, cause he is under serious distress it’s a new tort and you can make tons off it. The guy could clean up, or he could wind up at the bottom of a river.
