The Mets signing two of the Blue Jays relievers that were consistently inconsistent makes me laugh. Maybe they'll do better in the NL but well let's just say Frankie Francisco has a great arm but executes it terribly.

Sergio Santos is not a God of consistency.

Cards are offering Fat Albert 10 years and 220 mil, according to ESPN.

Miami would be stupid not to go to 10 years and 250 mil, imo. They were always going to have to beat St. Louis on money, and 25 mil a year for the best hitter of our generation isn't unreasonable, I don't think.

<s class="hash">#</s>brewers owner mark attanasio flew to dallas and met with fielder camp tuesday. mark is not giving up yet. <s class="hash">#</s>crew
If Attanasio seriously wants him back, and if he enjoys winning as much as the rest of us, he has the money to pay Fielder market value if he wants.

It'd be the highest payroll in Brewers history, but if Attanasio really wants to do it, he can.

Thoughts on Angel Pagan and Andres Torres:

I think we all can agree that Angel was the better hitter of the two in this past year. I really like what Andres can bring to the top of the lineup, plus his defense is much better than Angel's. Nonetheless, I like these two pieces within the trade.

They don't even need to go that high since there is no state tax in Florida.

I'm getting really nervous now hearing that the closer market is slowly becoming bare... I DON'T WANT K-Rod back at $13 million for a setup man!!

As am I. Like, REALLY nervous. If he accepts arb, that probably rules us out on Aramis Ramirez. Ugh.

Speaking of the closer market, San Diego's acquired Huston Street. Which is wonderful, since they were the only team I've heard that was in on K-Rod.

That's what I was thinking as well... I was set on the fact that we were going to get Aramis to play 3B/bat 4th and either Furcal or Alex Gonzalez to play SS... I don't know if that's happening anymore!! **** you Doug for offering KRod arb.

So Hanley opposes a move to 3B, could the douche bag get any bigger? Reyes is by far the better defender, get over yourself.

That's what the Mets did by getting Ramirez, Rauch and Francisco. Although I don't think any of them are closer quality.

Rockies shipped Street off to San Diego. Glad Bell is out of there, now the close games with the Rockies trailing aren't an automatic loss vs Padres
