Re: The Hot Stove League Thread
The Mets signing two of the Blue Jays relievers that were consistently inconsistent makes me laugh. Maybe they'll do better in the NL but well let's just say Frankie Francisco has a great arm but executes it terribly.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Cards are offering Fat Albert 10 years and 220 mil, according to ESPN.
Miami would be stupid not to go to 10 years and 250 mil, imo. They were always going to have to beat St. Louis on money, and 25 mil a year for the best hitter of our generation isn't unreasonable, I don't think.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Jon Heyman of SI:

It'd be the highest payroll in Brewers history, but if Attanasio really wants to do it, he can.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Re: The Hot Stove League Thread
Thoughts on Angel Pagan and Andres Torres:
I think we all can agree that Angel was the better hitter of the two in this past year. I really like what Andres can bring to the top of the lineup, plus his defense is much better than Angel's. Nonetheless, I like these two pieces within the trade.Comment

I'm getting really nervous now hearing that the closer market is slowly becoming bare... I DON'T WANT K-Rod back at $13 million for a setup man!!Milwaukee Brewers | Green Bay Packers | North Carolina Tar Heels | Wisconsin BadgersComment

Re: The Hot Stove League Thread
Speaking of the closer market, San Diego's acquired Huston Street. Which is wonderful, since they were the only team I've heard that was in on K-Rod.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Re: The Hot Stove League Thread
That's what I was thinking as well... I was set on the fact that we were going to get Aramis to play 3B/bat 4th and either Furcal or Alex Gonzalez to play SS... I don't know if that's happening anymore!! **** you Doug for offering KRod arb.Milwaukee Brewers | Green Bay Packers | North Carolina Tar Heels | Wisconsin BadgersComment

Insta-bullpen: just add money!
That's what the Mets did by getting Ramirez, Rauch and Francisco. Although I don't think any of them are closer quality.Comment
