Re: The Hot Stove League Thread
When huge deals like this happen there is bound to be bitterness about. It is a given and quite understandable.

I'm sad Pujols is leaving the Cardinals. Can't believe he took the money over them.
I gotta agree that 10 years is crazy because in recent memory one player, Barry Bonds, has actually played up to par past 35ish years old. I mean, look at Alex Rodriguez. Injury problems and diminished production.7 National Championships

10 is crazy for an NL Team. It's not as bad for an AL Team. I still expect him to play at an elite level for 4-5 Years.Wolverines Packers Cubs Celtics

It's $21mil p/yr for the next 3yrs....but yeah, still a big waste of money. We have Tony Reagins to thank for that trade.Comment

For those asking "why" on Darvish: Comes down to cash available and talent evaluation. Rangers will spend on their own players this winter.Rangers - Cowboys - Aggies - Stars - Mavericks

There is no source but I'm sure the Rangers are going to be all over Fielder now that the Angels landed Pujols. They're talking about it right now on ESPN and MLBN. Wouldn't surprise me if Fielder gets a 10/250 from the Marlins or the Rangers. We'll see what happens and I'll be curious to see your reaction to it.Comment
