There's not another player that I'll take over a healthy Josh Hamilton.

However, if you're picking a player for your franchise from this point it's obviously Kemp given Hamilton's injury risk and past.

This. Hamilton is the best player in baseball right now, so for one game, that is who I'd take. However, if we're talking starting fresh with a franchise, then of course it's Kemp, if not just for his age alone.

This is a tough question, as it really depends on if it's for the future or this season.

Both players are phenomenal but Hamilton is on a legendary pace. For this season I would take Hamilton, but due to his injuries, and Kemp being younger, I would take Kemp in the long run.

Kemp was off to a major tear, but my god Hamilton...wow.

              Josh Hamilton games played:

              2009: 89

              2010: 133

              2011: 121

The guy just can't stay on the field.

Defensively, Kemp is one of the most overrated players in baseball.

With that said, I'd take him over Hamilton. Youth and durability are my deciding factors. I'd love to see what numbers Kemp could put up playing in that Little League field in Arlington.

Ron Washington had said Hamilton told him he wanted to play 156 games this season which would equate to one off day a month. That is Hamilton's personal goal for the yr, if he does that, we may be in store for something special this summer. I am hoping so...

Hamilton is probably the most gifted/talented hitter in baseball, Pujols included.

The guy never played above AA, didn't play baseball for 4 years, got hooked on every drug imaginable, yet he's still doing this.

And as we debate Hamilton's durability, Kemp gets placed on the 15-day DL. Lol.

Well that'll throw a rock into his season stats. Fun fact: even before his injury, Beltran had basically caught up to Kemp if you take into account BABIP and defensive production.
                        NFL: Indianapolis Colts (12-6)
                        NBA: Indiana Pacers (42-13)
                        MLB: Cincinnati Reds (0-0)
                        NHL: Detroit Red Wings (26-20-12)
NCAA: Purdue Boilermakers (FB: 1-11, BB: 15-12), Michigan Wolverines (FB: 7-6, BB: 19-7, H: 15-10-3)

Kemp also had the most consecutive games played in the entire sport at the time too.

Sweet Lord of Mercy I get tired of this ****. You want to see what Hamilton does outside of the Ballpark in Arlington? .433/.494/.970 with 11 home runs and 27 RBI. It's not like the Rangers only produce runs because the air makes the ball travel here; they produce everywhere.

Yeah I think the ballpark argument is moot here. When you're hitting the ball 420+ feet, it doesn't matter what park you're in.
