Re: 5/28 - 6/3 Game Discussion Thread
Posted this in the last week's game discussion thread(oops), but I guess I will post it in here since this is the correct thread. Umps in the Tigers/Sox game blew a strike three call on Aviles, that even if it was foul tipped, was still clearly caught by the catcher. There was two outs and he went on to drive in a run, and the Sox subsequently scored two more runs after.
Incompetent umps basically cost the Tigers three runs, this is becoming a trend with the Tigers and umps. Alot of obvious missed calls that have been very costly this season. I am sick of this crap, I mean honestly these guys need to start doing their jobs. So called professionals should not be missing obvious calls. So frustrating to see the Tigers start playing a little better, and than get screwed by the umps in the next series. My Teams

NHL: Detroit Red Wings
NBA:Detroit Pistons
MLB: Detroit TigersComment

Well it looks like the Reds are intending to continue their incompetence vs. the Pirates. Seems like every time I follow the Reds-Pirates game we're on the losing end.NFL: Indianapolis Colts (12-6)
NBA: Indiana Pacers (42-13)
MLB: Cincinnati Reds (0-0)
NHL: Detroit Red Wings (26-20-12)
NCAA: Purdue Boilermakers (FB: 1-11, BB: 15-12), Michigan Wolverines (FB: 7-6, BB: 19-7, H: 15-10-3)Comment

What a break for the Sox on that call.
If I were Leyland, after being thrown out, this is all I would say: "Check the replay after the game, then come back to me tomorrow and apologize." If the umpire starts saying something else, I would say: "Check the replay after the game, then come back to me tomorrow and apologize." If the umpire didn't apologize the next day, I would walk up to him and say, "I forgive you."
What an umpire would do next would determine what kind of emotions he takes into his profession. One would hope they would learn to look at a play more appropriately after that. All they had to do was look for some dirt on the ball (or lack thereof). As a Red Sox fan, I'm happy for the result, but not particularly proud of the way it came to be.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

The only one I saw was when he hit a ball at AT&T Park that I thought had no chance of being hit out. Only Giancarlo Stanton could hit the kind of ball that he hit over a Major League Baseball home run fence.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

I've only seen like 3 or 4 of them, but everyone I see seems to be an absolute bomb. He hits the ball so hard, it's crazyOriginally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

His overall strength, combined with his bat speed is a powerful combo. It's a joy to watch, I tend to make sure I don't miss a Stanton AB if i'm home but don't feel like watchingSaints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

If you want to see bombs watch mark Trumbo. Not one HR less than 405 ft. Most around 420-430.Comment
