Well, Daniel Bard couldn't control his fastball at all today and hit a bunch of Jays. Not sure if we was pulled for the walks or because Bobby Valentine agreed it was making the game too dangerous.Comment

It's funny, because the Phils announcers were talking about his prowess as a batter. Cue: home run.
(though, again, making my point of how well Phila. announcers across the page compliment other teams in whole and their individual performers).Comment

Phil Hughes is rolling today aside from the homer from Fielder.
I dont understand Yankee fans who are ready to give up on him. He has tremendous stuff and has just gotten a little unlucky with the longball this year because hes a flyball pitcher.
Id rather see Nova on the trade block than Hughes by far. Im not sure Nova is that good.Comment
