He didn't. But it doesn't matter 3-2 Halo win. I guess ranger fan declarations the race for the west being over in April was a little premature. Angels within 3 1/2 games.

Nick Punto hit a home run over 440 feet....and no one mentioned it?

      For shame.

What is this "World Series" you speak of? Is that part of those playoffs thingies people always talk about?

Well, Daniel Bard couldn't control his fastball at all today and hit a bunch of Jays. Not sure if we was pulled for the walks or because Bobby Valentine agreed it was making the game too dangerous.

It's funny, because the Phils announcers were talking about his prowess as a batter. Cue: home run.

(though, again, making my point of how well Phila. announcers across the page compliment other teams in whole and their individual performers).

Phil Hughes is rolling today aside from the homer from Fielder.

I dont understand Yankee fans who are ready to give up on him. He has tremendous stuff and has just gotten a little unlucky with the longball this year because hes a flyball pitcher.

Id rather see Nova on the trade block than Hughes by far. Im not sure Nova is that good.

Juan Pierre just did something you don't see often. Drag bunt for a double.

..... and Jose Reyes be too pretty to slide.
