Fister fresh of the DL looks good so far for Detroit. Gonna need a solid outing from him with how badly the bullpen got beat up last night.

Same ump just called Harper out on a pitch a good 6 inches off the plate.

Justin Grimm, who was called up from AA Frisco on Thursday, made his ML debut tonight against Houston. 6 IP, 6 H, 3 ER, 0 BB, 7 K. Pretty good start for a guy who has only 77 IP above High A.

Well Brandon Beachy got pulled in the 4th with elbow soreness.

Fantastic news to wake up to.

Cliff Lee had a 4-2 lead and blew it, giving up 12 hits and 5 earned over 7, and Joe Savery - who has yet to appear in a Phillies win this season - gave the game away in the 10th.

Phillies suck. We really, really, realllllly suck.

Cliff Lee has been really average since he blew the 4-0 lead in game 4 of the NLDS last year. Charlie Manuel left him in the game too long today, in my opinion. Phillies had a 5-2 lead in the 8th inning. Should have gone to the bullpen to start the 8th, and had Papelbon ready for the 9th.

I really think it's time for a managerial change here in Philly. Really do. It's time for a new voice.

You want Charlie to be fired just because you guys are having a bad year? Everybody saw that this situation was a complete possibility at this point in the year. The Phils are getting old and it doesn't help that the stars are on the DL. That's not Charlie's fault. You guys came off being the best team in the regular season last year, and now you want Charlie gone.

I really don't understand fans that always blame the coaches first. Bad years happen. We aren't even to the All-Star break yet.

Yeah the Phillies have more of a getting old and injury-prone problem than a managerial problem.
                        NFL: Indianapolis Colts (12-6)
                        NBA: Indiana Pacers (42-13)
                        MLB: Cincinnati Reds (0-0)
                        NHL: Detroit Red Wings (26-20-12)
NCAA: Purdue Boilermakers (FB: 1-11, BB: 15-12), Michigan Wolverines (FB: 7-6, BB: 19-7, H: 15-10-3)

I don't think its time to bail on cholly just yet, but he lost the game today....his decisions that is. He manages like he has a 3run homer in the lineup and he just doesn't anymore.

                            Postgame Beachy quotes are terrifying.

Beachy: "we're going to get the MRI and hope for the best on the results" #Braves
Beachy: "its really frustrating. I've had a lot of success when I've felt good this year. It's frustrating" #Braves

Heath Bell is dealing, struck out the side to shut the game down in the 15th. Has been on a roll as of late.
