Bob Apodaca got reassigned from the Rockies pitching coach. Jim Tracy and Dan O'Dowd hopefully get axed

Weird, sounds like Apodaca asked for the reassignment

I thought I just saw Ozzie Smith flash across the TV screen, but no, it was just Rafael Furcal.

It definitely sounded like he requested this by the articles I've read. I wonder if this has to do with the move to the 4 man rotation/75 pitch limit. I'm guessing maybe Apodaca strongly opposed this (not blaming him if he did)?

Carlos Ruiz should without question be the starting catcher for the National League in this year's All-Star game.

Simple: Posey is a fan favorite in San Francisco and across the league. His numbers dont hurt (leading the Giants in Hr's and RBI's),

I would argue Molina should be starting, but there's no doubt they are both having great seasons.

This is why I hate when people have a hard time when a batter showboats, but a pitcher can do these types of idiotic antics. P'toi.

Anyone see Dewayne Wises "catch"? Just saw it on baseball tonight, and wow how do you get that one wrong? The guy in the red has the ball but the umpire doesn't even notice.

Edit: Another thing I saw on baseball tonight... Aroldis Chapman converts the save then somersaults twice to the catcher. What the heck was that about?

Anyone who saw the play think he caught it? I was watching and I knew as soon as he flew into the stands he didn't catch it. You could see the ball jump out of his glove, or of his glove really as he never had any control over it. But... If the ump saw it differently, what can you do?
