Seriously, who cares? I though that was pretty stupid, it's the freaking Hr Derby. This is the same place that booed Bill Self in a celebrity softball game, lol tough crowd.Comment

I'd be willing to bet Cano gets cheered tonight.

Secondly, I don't think you quite understand the Border War.SpoilerThis rivalry is rooted deep in history, not just athletics. It is traced back all the way to before the Civil War when Missourians raided Kansas to try and influence the popular vote regarding weather Kansas would enter as a free state or slave state. This time is history is known as Bleeding Kansas. Pro-slavery Missourians were known as Border Ruffians while free-state supporters were known as Jawhawkers. Lawrence was also burned to the ground during this time by Border Ruffians. Afterwards, John Brown led the attack on some Border Ruffians known as the Pottawatomie Massacre.Comment

Seems like a pretty good decision to me. Posey is Cain's catcher. Cain threw a perfect game. Dickey coming out the bullpen after a few normal pitchers have thrown will throw off the AL's timing even more than a normal ASG usually does.Comment

Yeah let's not act like Cain is a terrible choiceSaints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Cano picked a good team too. Everyone from the AL but 1 person made it to the second round...Lions, Tigers, Pistons, Michigan

Nothing against Cain, but Dickey is an incredible story this season and may not have a chance again, while Cain and Strasburg have many more All-Star appearances to come. I assume they'll save Dickey for the later innings when Ruiz is catching.Comment

That's the whole point, isn't it? It's just the freaking HR Derby. It doesn't mean anything. So what is the reason behind not picking Billy Butler?

What bugged me last night was the decision to interview Cain during Cargo's time to hit. Its not like they cant slot in an hour ahead of the derby to interview whoever, or is the 10th cycle of Sportscenter that necessary
I have no interest in any of the games outside of watching the Rockies players and ESPN took a dump on it last night for the likely reason of him being on a smaller market team. McCutchen I heard got the same treatment when it was his turn.Aaron

I honestly enjoyed the celebrity softball game more.
