Am I the only one who feels like this year, there's a bit of a resurgence in the "mystique" and fun of the All-Star festivities?

HR Derby last night was fun, seems like there's a ton of energy from everyone, Kauffman is a great host, Chipper's last hurrah, MLB Network is awesome right now.....just lots of cool things going on.

Makes me feel like a kid.

It does feel a little different, but I, for one, have always loved everything about the All-Star Game. Maybe it's just that KC is a better baseball town than Anaheim or Phoenix. Maybe it's the tail end of last year that reminded everyone of how great baseball is. Maybe it's all the other sports in lockouts and stuff too.

Here's a good article on "4 Cases of All-Star Voter Fraud" that I enjoyed reading.

To be honest, the homerun derby has never really intrigued me a whole lot. The skills stuff just doesn't do much for me.

One thing I noticed is MLB is considering a rule change for the host city to participate in the homerun derby. I think its stupid. Stop feeling bad for Cano because he got boo'd. I thought it was awesome how into it the crowd got. Reminds me back when I saw first hand in 1998 the fans boo Junior, and then he comes out and puts on a display to win it. Fans loved him then.

I don't really feel that way about the all star festivities, but I do feel that way about the League as a whole. I love that the Nats and Pirates are competing, I love the young stars that are gracing my tv, the power returning to the pitcher, and no labor pains.

Oh, and Mlb Network kicks ***, I find myself watching it all day sometimes. So much better then Baseball Tonight, If I had to hear "fill thine horn with oil and go" one more time, that used to make me cringe.

I haven't watch Baseball Tonight in like 5 years. Even before MLB Network debuted.

My TV is almost always on MLB Network.

Oh yea, once I got mlb network I never looked back, and I don't have to suffer watching Kruk or Berthume anymore. (pretty sure I spelled that wrong)

The only thing I can't stand with MLBN is hearing Plesac fanboy whenever Pablo Sandoval is brought up.

I don't really have a problem with Berthiaume. Depending on which BBTN you watch it can be better than MLBN. Berthiaume is a good host and when they have Olney or Glanville on as analysts the show is watchable.

It's not like MLBN doesn't have their share of annoying analysts, namely Plesac.

I do like Glanville, Buster's alright. Berthiaume just gets on my nerves, and yes Plesac is annoying, but imo BBTN sucks now. I'm sure it has it's moments, but not for me. My boycott of Espn continues.

I did like BBTN when it first aired with Reynolds, but those days have passed.

I wish MLB Network's nightly recap/highlight show wasn't as "robotic" as it is, if that makes sense.

I would be doing the same thing you are, but I don't get MLBN. Even though we live in a mainly baseball market, we get NFLN from our cable company, which is completely useless to me.

Berthiaume does love the Show though.

That B2 Bomber came over the stadium too early because that guy was singing the Anthem butt slow.

Yessir. Quick Pitch feels like it's on auto-pilot. I understand that it's a no-frills review show, and I appreciate it, but it's still a bit TOO mechanical I feel.
