Its sad that we were relatively close to Brandon freakin Crawford starting at SS, heck how close was Sanchez and Belt to starting?
Melky starting, thats cool, Posey...meh, Ruiz definitely should have started based on stats this year, but Posey was still an okay choice to start.
3B, Wright deserved it more than Pablo mainly due to Pablo being injured. Pablo's having a great year.

I think again, everybody was up in arms because we almost had some major scrubs starting in the All Star game because Giant fans stuffed the ballots instead of picking the deserving guys.

It happens every year, giants fans seemed to get more crap then i've heard before. Jeter last year wasnt playing that great at the break and i recall varitek making it batting 220 something one year. Its flawed yes but no one seems to mind it when there team has their players in. Its crazy that brandon crawford almost made it but thats happened before but no one remembers who finished second years later. Also wright made it over pablo a couple years back when pablo burst onto the scene batting close to 330 the whole year

Got to give credit to Panda. I thought he had missed too much time to start over an MVP candidate, but he came through. Sandoval hitting a triple was something I least expected. I wanted Dickey to start but at least we knew that Matt Cain is very good. Ended up not mattering since the entire team combined for a shutout. Surprising, considering the amount of power in that American League lineup.

I was hoping to see Votto or Bruce do something last night, oh well I'm glad the National League won.

I went into that Sandoval at-bat the same exact way that he did. Fastball until Verlander earned a strike, then drop a curveball. Throwing an off-speed pitch to Pablo is doing him a favor. He can keep his hands back, and when he's looking for it (as he very obviously was), he can keep his body back enough as well.

Seeing that it was his first triple of the year, I expect that kind of work out of him all of the time. He's been slumping badly for the Giants the past two weeks.

My entire family picked all the position players names written on pieces of paper and whoever had the name of the MVP would win 80 dollars (buy-in was 5 bucks) and I had Melk Man, hah. Before the start of the game, I almost traded him to my uncle for Ian Kinsler. (WHEW!)

I would forget about Phillips. Hill is posting better offensive numbers then Phillips.

I wouldn't forget about phillips, he still deserved to make it as a back up. Maybe he wasnt picked because of that brawl he basically started against the cards

Players and managers need to pick these teams, especially with something as important as home field advantage for the World (blanking) Series. No, instead we leave it up to a bunch of people who are willing to sit at their computer screens and click 50x for the same guy.

                                Brilliant.
