Interesting article regarding if the Rangers should trade Hamilton. I didn't even think they would consider it, but there are some good points raised here. The question would be what do they demand for him. Maybe to the Marlins for JJ and prospects?

Re: Trade Deadline Thread
Well, it was more I think the Marlins are the only team that have what the Rangers need/want. If the Marlins could resign him, they might want to do it. Honestly, the contenders out there are really looking for pitching...I don't see a team looking for a bat (maybe Pittsburgh?)."People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. It's an interesting idea, but I think in that situation the Marlins would be content to just keep JJ and attempt to sign Hamilton in the winter.Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Re: Trade Deadline Thread
Arizona gets Chris Johnson from Houston.
I like the package Houston got in this deal, especially Bobby Borchering. He's no Chris Johnson from the Tennessee Titans, but he has a 1.2 OWAR and should fit in Arizona.Last edited by Baseballking888; 07-29-2012, 12:52 PM.Comment

Feel bad for Liriano, he was a beast before his injury, then had a decent year in 2010 when maybe he was getting back fully healthy, and now been terrible again.7 National Championships

Re: Trade Deadline Thread
The thing I love about this, is the White Sox rocked Liriano up just a few days ago before the trade. 2 2/3 innings pitched, gave up 7 hits, walked 1, gave up 7 runs and struck out 2.

If the Sox can get him on track he could be a nice piece for them down the stretch though.Favorite Teams:
