Castro, Rizzo, Jackson and Vitters all in the same lineup against the Padres. A nice look into the future tonight.

If by "sporadically" you mean twice (including tonight), you're right.

Young has zero value on this team. If Washington really valued defense he would have had Gonzalez at short to punish Andrus. Some of the stuff that he's been putting out lately is just mind-boggling. I wish we could just dump Young and get it over with today.

Two Monday wins in a row for the Braves?! Whoa.

We didn't even record a strikeout the entire game. How weird.

This Michael Young saga has just been weird for me to occasionally watch/hear about. I thought to myself last year after the signing of Adrian Beltre: Why can't Michael just play 1B. It just seemed simple to me and that would have looked like a pretty solid infield to me. I guess my lack of heavily viewing the Rangers, has set back my understanding on this.

I don't get the local feed (Fox Sports Detroit is a premium channel on Dish), but for some random reason I wasn't blacked out today

My only guess is FSD didn't have a broadcast today. It was nice to actually watch the team live and in good quality, especially during a Verlander start.

Brett Jackson is 0-3 with three strikeouts, this is what I was worried about. Hopefully he keeps his head in there and doesn't get discouraged.

Finally the Padres have been sold... bye Moores.

Alonso looking really good at the plate recently.

Edit: Tough game for the Cubs rookies (with the exception of Welington Castillo). Especially for Brett Jackson. He's got the golden sombrero after going 2 for 4 yesterday.

Happened last inning but it's really tough judging balls at Petco. Would've bet my life that Carlos Quentin ball was out of there, only for it to die on the warning track.

Well glad to see the Dodger offense come back into form against the crappy Rockies.

Castro's been struggling as of late too. I know he's not a rookie, but he's still young. But you're right, our rookies are struggling at the plate tonight. Vitters did make a great diving play over at third though, really the only highlight for us so far.

BTW everyone keeps calling him J Happ. I wonder what his full name is? James Anthony...Why can't they just call him Jim or Jimmy.

Kids and their stupid insistence on initializing their names. I think I might call the Blue Jays postgame show tomorrow and call him Jimmy MUAHAHAHAHAHA.
His first name is actually just those two letters its not short/abbreviated for anything. Weird huh?

That's actually why Philly traded him for Oswalt...we needed someone whose first name made sense.

Longoria was just activated and will be in the lineup for the Rays tonight after missing more than half the season.
