The Astros have a chance to join some elite company this season, the sub-.300 winning percentage club. It's been done 23 times since 1890, but the '62 Mets and '03 Tigers are the only two teams to accomplish it in the last 50 years.

The Astros are at .306 after today's loss.

Dan Johnson is hitting in a pinch-hitting role. Let's role the tape.

Valverde makes it interesting, but the Tigers get the sweep. So we are where we were the last time we played the White Sox...

Just noticed this from yesterday. Kelly Shoppach hit a 2 out, bases-clearing, ground ball triple to centerfield. It ended up being correctly changed to a double and error.

              Gotta love baseball, folks.

For people who don't know what a knuckleball can do to a baseball, watch the highlights on David Ross's hit to center field on Sportscenter later today.

BTW, Braves... six runs on two hits so far.

That was a crazy hit. They need to pull Ross though before his next at bat, he's obviously playing through pain. I'd risk taking him out even with Mac hurt as well.

Yeah, he definitely started pulling up even as he was getting out of the batter's box. Who's in our minor league system to sit behind the plate every so often, especially with games that might be runaway victories?

JC Boscan is who they always bring up as the third catcher and he's in the dugout today. He's the only other catcher on the 40-man roster.

Got it. I called him up at one point in my Braves franchise in The Show, but he wasn't doing much.

The Rockies have been squaring a few balls up. Thankfully we've been showing some good defense so far.

Medlen has been a rock recently. I honestly was not expecting to fare this well in the rotation.

That happened to me in a softball game once. I didn't know what the hell it was going to do.

Darvish was perfect through 5 2/3 before issuing a walk on a pitch that should've been strike 3. Next batter gets a bloop single to break up the no hitter.

Edit: And now the Royals have scored 3 runs after that blown call. Gotta love the human element.

Umpires are either blind or incredibly stupid.
