Just read an article about a guy in Calgary died from a sucker punch after a debate about the Blue Jays pitching staff. That's why I rarely get past generic greetings with random people out in public.

Phillies have announced that Vance Worley is being placed on the DL and will be having season ending elbow surgery to remove bone chips.

Cole Hamels scratched from his start tonight with a stomach illness, and Tyler Cloyd is being called up from Triple-A to make his major league debut.

Cloyd is 15-1 with a 2.26 ERA in 26 starts between Double-A and Triple-A this season.

Nice win by the Jays this afternoon. Yunel Escobar had a helluva day!

Baseballking888 I don't think the Yanks will crumble but they won't make it out of the 1st round/wild card game (depending on where they finish) The Yanks are an old team with guys who can produce but once the calendar flips to October they've spent so much energy all year that they don't have another gear to shift into for the playoffs.

Baseballking888 I don't think the Yanks will crumble but they won't make it out of the 1st round/wild card game (depending on where they finish) The Yanks are an old team with guys who can produce but once the calendar flips to October they've spent so much energy all year that they don't have another gear to shift into for the playoffs.

That's what I'm saying. The Yanks will possibly collapse in the division but they could settle for a WC spot.
