Didn't stop him two years ago when he was on a 101 loss team.
He lead the league in ERA and strikeouts though.
My point is that there is so much convergence at the top of the traditional pitching stats among 4-5 pitchers that it wouldn't surprise me if playing on a playoff team served as some sort of tiebreaker.

Kemp vs. Braun last year is a good example.
It was pretty ridiculous that the voters went with Braun due to his team making the playoffs.

Actually Weaver led the league in K's that year, but both of our points are the same.
If Felix can close out the season the same way he's pitched the last two months, he's going to run away with it. That's a big if though.

6 IP, 0 R, 3 H, 4 K and got the W, also 1-2 at the plate
Don't take it as a sign of greatness to come, the Braves continue to not be able to hit young pitchers that they haven't faced much. I don't know what their scouts do, but it hasn't worked in years.
The Padres will probably sweep the series as Werner is making his 2nd start and Stults already beat them earlier this year.
Good move. At least Bedard was healthy this season but he was a major disappointment. Started out well but went downhill later on. At least Correia kept them in the games he pitched. Maybe Bedard and Wolf could be insurance policies for the Yankees?
Well this has been the year of the Great White Whale for the Blue Jays. Bautista has been shut down for the rest of the season and will have surgery on his wrist meanwhile a top prospect in the organization has been suspended for taking a banned substance.
