Erm, you're going to have the BoSox pay some of Manny's contract then pay A-Rod's contract on top? BWAHAHAHAHAHA

Man I tell you Boston and New York are SOOO over spending it isn't even funny. You may get some quick satisfaction but an All-star team isn't going to win a WS not with a crappy manager like Francona.

BTW most teams that have good to decent pitching prospects don't have the money to pay for Nomar so keep dreaming.

Not a chance Boston would have to take on a ton of money and with the new Schilling contract and other people the Red Sox want to sign there is almost now way that I see this thing happening

          </font><blockquote><font class="small">Quote:</font><hr />
According to the Dallas Morning News, the Rangers are willing to do an Alex Rodriguez-for-Manny Ramirez trade as long as the Red Sox will pick up a portion of Ramirez's salary. Don't count on that happening. The Red Sox would be taking on at least $80 million and probably more like $90 million (due to annual incentives) by swapping A-Rod's contract with Manny's.

Baseball is quickly being ruined with this kind of unrestricted spending.

Throw hockey in the same mix. There are 6-8 teams every year that have a shot at the title and the rest are simply pretenders. Its sad and unfortunate.

I would blame the owner and GM over the player. Theyr the ones that gave it to him, you get offered that kind of money you take it, Knowing youll never get a shot at that kind of jack again. Dont blame A Rod for being the best player on the free market and having those isiots running the team carry him on thier backs to the bank. He just signed the paper.
