Can you imagine a team of BoSox that contains these players:

    1B. Millar
    2B. Matsui
    3B.Mueller
    SS. Arod
    LF. Nixon
    CF. Cameron/John Damon
    RF. Vlad

    1.Schilling
    2.Pedro
3.Brown(acquired for Nomar) or maybe Colon/Pettitte
    4.Lowe
5.? Batista maybe?(This is one guy I like to have on the Yanks)

Of course, I'm not afraid of their bullpen.

This would make any BoSox fan drool. Of course, our team then would be 10X better than that.

P.S. What I proposed can very well be done, rather easily.

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

Rather easily? Thats a joke brotha.

Matsui at 2nd? He doesnt want to play second and he is about to sign with the Mets. Let me get this straight, you want to add Kaz Matsui (8 million) A-Rod (25 million) AND Vlad (16 million*) AND the 15 million from Kevin Brown, whom I pray the Yankees get cause he is dead weight.

AI_Franchise I could disect this further but I think my point was made, and anyone else who reads what you typed up can come up with there own points to laugh about, good thoughts though brothaman

Bostons farm system isnt as depleted as some would like to think. Its definately not Top 10, but I wouldnt put it in the bottom 10 neither, and it is much better then NYs....I would prefer not to lose the draft picks, and Epstein would NEVER deal draft picks for a number 5 starter. Foulke, yeah its worth it, but not Bautista.

For any kind of money, you can get anyone to do anything. You're making an agressive push to win the whole thing this year, so why not spend some more, and get the tax hit. C'mon wouldn't you, John Henry, like to sock it to the ol' big bad wolf Georgie?
But seriously, I'm afraid of Boston getting Vlad. Not as much of Brown, because then you have top 3 of injury prone starters, but Vlad is friends with Manny and Pedro. Not to mention Vlad has can use the Monster for a lot of damage. I think he has the ideal swing for it.

The "Great Satan", Scott Boras, or the Players Union, isn't going to allow A-Rod to restructure his contract. That's the biggest snag they're facing right now.

SoMiss, same with Manny's agent...Manny has already stated publically that he would re-work is contract, but no way neither sides would let him

I think AROD made it very clear he went to whom shelled out the most money. Tom Hicks was going to spend with Steinbrenner, but when he flopped on the Chan Ho deal, he backpedaled . But really, I think AROD made no bones about it, it was all up to who shelled out the dough, as I like to say, TExas finished 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the bidding for AROD.
