How does the tiebreaker rules work in terms of the MLB draft? If two teams have same win-loss record, who gets the better draft pick?

The Twins are having a press conference at 2:30 today. This could be it for the Gardy era. Though nothing will change unless they completely clean house in that organization. Fat chance that will happen.

Sounds like Gardy got a two year extension.

With the **** sandwich he's given, I'm surprised he'd want to sign that.

Well, when ownership basically gives you no players or expectations, I guess it could be seen as an easy paycheck.

Honestly, Gardenhire would just look weird in another uniform. Their problems go far beyond the manger, though.

The problem in Minnesota isn't the manager. Not hardly. Rather, it's the fact that, despite having fairly deep pockets, Pohlad isn't willing to put up the money to actually try to improve this team. We've got a solid farm system, bring up guys like Buxton and Sano quicker and splash some of that cash so we can start playing some winning baseball again.

There is way too much ingrained backwards thinking and dinosaurs roaming around the organization. Until they fix that, nothing will improve.

Marlins finally fired Larry Beinfest, at the very least this unifies the front office with Mike Hill and Dan Jennings being promoted.

I'd really like them to maybe trade one of their young arms in the farm system for a young potential impact hitter if those even exist to be traded. Although finally getting a Yelich/Ozuna/Stanton OF may help the offense

Really long piece on Bonds, but worth the read.

I had a feeling that was coming.

I bet they go in a completely different direction and get a younger guy who is more hip to the way the game is played these days.

Its what they should do, IMO. I don't understand how you can have a manager that doesn't endorse they style of play your franchise player plays.

The talent on the Reds team was being wasted by Dusty. I'm sure that Walt Jockety will try to go towards a more SABR approach with their next manager.

Dusty Baker, 3 90+ win seasons in past 4 years and making playoffs 3 of those 4 years and he gets fired after his team loses in WC game.

John Gibbons, 2 diff stints, 4/6 of his seasons he finished with win% below .500, and keeps his job after a 74 win season.
