Burch Smith is getting promoted from AA to pitch for the Padres this Saturday. He can hit 100 mph and has uncanny control...

Yelich is killing it for the Marlins in AA right now hopefully he gets the call up soon as he's hitting .319/.390/.659 5HRs 4Triples 21RBIs. The 12 walks to 26Ks can be improved but a majority of those Ks were when he was just getting warmed up at the plate it seemed.

Interesting case here. Justin Jackson, a former first round pick, is putting up great numbers as a reliever in short season A ball. Bust, right?

Well, he was taken as a position player, not a pitcher.

He couldn't hit his weight so he's taking on the daunting task of converting to pitching and has maintained a 2.84 ERA in relief thus far, awesome to see.

Wasn't he taken as an outfielder?

Nah, SS if I recall, and then moved to 2B, and then to RF, and now to RP.

Can't wait until he gets the call up by the Marlins, has the potential to either be a good leadoff or #3 guy imo.

                  M's prospects are doing alright...

Nick Franklin is hitting .328 in AAA.

Mike Zunino is having a rough go of it lately. Average is down to .222. Still has six bombs and 31 RBIs in 29 games. He's striking out A LOT.

James Paxton has had flashes of brilliance. He's 2-3 on the year with a 3.93 ERA. 44 K's in 36.2 IP. Hopefully he continues to improve his command, because I still love his ceiling.

Danny Hultzen has been on the shelf for a couple of weeks with a sprained rotator cuff. Not good news in the least... He is 3-1 with a 2.78 ERA.

Taijuan Walker deserves a promotion to AAA soon, as he has nothing left to prove down there. His command needs work, but the kid is ready for a promotion... 3-3, 2.09 ERA, 52 K's in 47.1 IP.

Billy Hamilton is only hitting .243 now in AAA Louisville, but he has been hitting much better as of late, and his defense has been good considering he moved the CF for the first time in the fall.

Bubba Starling may potentially need LASIK eye surgery. I remember Eric Hosmer having the same problem early in his career and it turned him into a legit prospect so hopefully that will have the same impact on Bubba's career. It's really hard to see a hometown kid, upon which so much hope was bestowed, struggle.

I've heard that sound 3 times... once was Babe Ruth, the second was Josh Gibson, and the third was Bo Jackson- Buck O'Neil

Thought he had Lasik over the past week and just came back to play baseball recently. Hopefully it helps... Soooo much potential.
